HR Manager Arrested in TCS Nashik Harassment Case

The arrest of Nida Khan has brought fresh scrutiny to workplace practices at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Khan, an HR manager at the company’s Nashik BPO unit, was taken into custody on April 10 after initially being reported absconding. She is now being questioned by a Special Investigation Team formed by the Nashik City Police.

According to investigators, several women employees alleged that repeated complaints of sexual harassment and misconduct were ignored. FIRs were registered at Mumbai Naka and Deolali Camp police stations, with complainants claiming their concerns were suppressed instead of escalated.

Khan, in her early 30s, was part of the Internal Committee under the POSH Act, responsible for addressing workplace harassment issues. Authorities allege she failed to act despite multiple reports.

An alumna of Savitribai Phule Pune University, Khan’s role included handling employee grievances and ensuring compliance with workplace safety norms. The case has raised concerns about accountability within internal redressal mechanisms and the effectiveness of corporate safeguards meant to protect employees. Investigations remain ongoing.
