To manage the increased passenger rush during the Summer Season 2026, Konkan Railway, in coordination with the Central, Southern, and Western Railways, has introduced additional summer special trains across various routes.
Deputy Regional Manager of Konkan Railway, Baban Ghatge, said the move was aimed at providing relief to passengers and ensuring smoother travel during the peak holiday season.

“Konkan Railway, in collaboration with Central, Southern, and Western Railways, has introduced additional summer special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during Summer Season 2026. Passengers are requested to take advantage of these facilities,” Ghatge said.
The additional services are expected to help accommodate the growing number of travellers heading to various destinations during the summer vacation period.
