Protesters alleged that the controversy surrounding the medical entrance examination and its subsequent cancellation had severely impacted lakhs of hardworking students across the country and damaged the credibility of the examination system.

During the demonstration, members of the Youth Congress demanded strict action against those responsible for the alleged paper leak and called for major reforms within the National Testing Agency (NTA).

The organisation also sought accountability at the central level to ensure that similar incidents do not recur in the future.

Protesters said students preparing for highly competitive examinations should not suffer due to alleged lapses and irregularities in the conduct of national-level entrance tests.
