Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has announced that the Goa government has identified a 2,000-square-metre plot in Pandharpur for the construction of the proposed Goa Vithal Rakhumai Bhavan, aimed at providing facilities for Goan devotees visiting the pilgrimage town.
Speaking on the initiative, Dr. Sawant expressed confidence that the Bhavan would be completed and inaugurated in time for the next Wari pilgrimage, offering improved accommodation and amenities to devotees from Goa.
The Chief Minister also revealed that the state government has purchased a 4,000-square-metre plot in Ayodhya, where Goa Ram Nivas will be constructed to provide accommodation for Goan pilgrims visiting the holy city.
Dr. Sawant said the two projects reflect the government’s commitment to supporting the spiritual and cultural needs of Goan devotees by creating dedicated facilities at two of India’s most revered pilgrimage destinations.
The proposed Goa Vithal Rakhumai Bhavan in Pandharpur and Goa Ram Nivas in Ayodhya are expected to offer comfortable lodging and other essential amenities, making religious travel more convenient for pilgrims from the state.
