Karnataka Woman Hacked to Death at Bus Stand, Accused Flees After Brutal Attack

A 21-year-old woman was hacked to death in a brutal machete attack at the KSRTC New Bus Stand in BC Road, Bantwal, Karnataka, on Thursday evening. Police have launched a manhunt for the accused, who fled the scene after the incident.

The victim, identified as Lavanya, a resident of Uligram in Bantwal, was employed at a private nursing home in Kalladka. She was allegedly attacked with a machete by a man identified as Chetan, a resident of Odilnala in Belthangady.

The shocking incident was captured on CCTV footage, which reportedly shows the accused repeatedly attacking the woman before fleeing the scene. The assailant left the murder weapon behind as he escaped.

Police reached the spot soon after the attack and began an investigation. A search operation has been launched to trace and arrest the accused, who remains at large.

Authorities are examining the circumstances surrounding the murder, while further investigation into the motive behind the attack is underway.
