Amit Palekar Slams Narendra Sawaikar Over ‘Termites’ Remark, Demands Apology to Goa’s Youth

Goa Congress leader Amit Palekar has strongly criticised BJP vice president Narendra Sawaikar over his controversial “termites” remark, alleging that the comment insulted the youth of Goa.

Reacting to the controversy, Palekar said the BJP leader’s statement was disrespectful to young Goans and demanded that Sawaikar issue a public apology to every youth offended by the remark.

He further accused the BJP-led government of failing to generate adequate employment opportunities in the state, forcing many young Goans to migrate elsewhere in search of jobs.

Palekar said instead of addressing unemployment and creating opportunities for the state’s youth, BJP leaders were making derogatory remarks against those expressing their views, and urged Sawaikar to apologise publicly for his comments.
