30-Year-Old Man Dies After Live Electric Wire Falls on Mini Tempo in Verna

A 30-year-old cleaner from Chhattisgarh lost his life in a tragic electrocution incident near Billa Cross in Verna late on Saturday night after a live overhead electric wire snapped and fell on a mini tempo. The victim, identified as Ankit, was travelling with the driver when the vehicle came into contact with the fallen power line.

Both occupants received an electric shock and immediately jumped out of the vehicle. While the driver managed to escape safely, Ankit accidentally came into contact with the live wire, sustaining severe burn injuries. He died on the spot before help could reach him.

Personnel from the Fire and Emergency Services and Verna Police rushed to the scene after receiving information about the incident. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
