SPCA Issues Notices to Police Officers in Alleged Assault Case Involving Kashinath Shetye

The State Police Complaints Authority (SPCA) has issued notices to senior police officers in connection with the alleged assault on Kashinath Shetye, with a hearing in the matter scheduled for September 7.

Among those served notices are Old Goa Police Station Inspector Gouresh Malik and Sub-Inspector Sanket Pokhre, who have been directed to appear before the authority as part of the proceedings.

In the same case, notices have also been issued to Crime Branch Superintendent of Police (SP) Rahul Gupta, SP Harishchandra Madkaikar, SP Jivba Dalvi, and Inspector Tushar Lotlikar.

The SPCA is examining the allegations surrounding the incident and has sought the presence of the concerned officers during the scheduled hearing. Further proceedings in the matter are expected to take place on September 7.
