Goa Govt Scraps Proposed Patto-Santa Monica Pedestrian Overbridge, Tells High Court

The Goa government has informed the High Court that the proposed pedestrian overbridge connecting Dayanand Bandodkar Road near the Patto multilevel parking facility to the Santa Monica Jetty has been scrapped after being found technically unfeasible.

During the hearing, the government submitted that the existing pedestrian underpass in the area provides safe and adequate access for commuters, eliminating the need for the proposed overbridge.
