Meshu D’Costa and Dattaraj Raut Dessai have been arrested by Sanguem Police in connection with an alleged confrontation at Sanguem Police Station involving threats and obstruction of police personnel on duty.
The South Goa Sessions Court had earlier rejected anticipatory bail pleas filed by D’Costa and four others, observing a “clear prima facie case” of aggressive, confrontational and intimidating conduct. The case is registered under Sections 132, 221, 351 and 189 read with Section 3(5) of the BNS.

According to the complaint by PSI Pradhyumna Keny, the accused allegedly arrived at the police station and threatened officers and obstructed them from performing their duties. The prosecution opposed the bail pleas, citing Section 35(3) notices and conduct captured on video.
The court observed that the video showed a conversation escalating into violence, which it said undermined police authority.
