Damapur: St Anthony’s Sports Club Assolda booked their place in the semifinals of the 47th St Joseph Festival Inter-Village Football Tournament with a 3-1 victory over Curtorim Gymkhana at the Damapur ground on Sunday.
Sheldon Fernandes was the star of the match, scoring all three goals for Assolda in the 4th, 45th and 56th minutes to complete a superb hat-trick.

Curtorim Gymkhana pulled one back through Rhay Dias in the 9th minute, with both teams going into the break level at 1-1.
Fernandes restored Assolda’s lead just after the restart before completing his hat-trick in the 56th minute to secure a 3-1 win and send his team into the semifinals.
Fernandes was adjudged Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
The tournament is being organised by Damapur Sports Club.
