Chief Minister Digambar Kamat today announced that his government intends to bring in a Public Accountability Bill the assembly for effective delivery of public services.
Speaking on the floor of the House, Kamat said that the Bill would be formulated on the lines of those in Bihar and Maharashtra.
“Today if we have to streamline administration and bring about an end to corruption then the e-governance and the accountability is must,” he said.
“The Bill envisages more effective delivery of public services,” he said.
Further, as the state entered into the 50th years into the liberation, Kamat reiterated his stand that there should be no houses without powers.
“Even houses in the remotest of the places in Goa must have power supply,” he said adding if it is not possible due to any issue we will make it possible through solar energy,” he said.
“When we are celebrating 50 years of Goa’s liberation, I want Goa be brighter,” he said.
