Fatorpa man held for sexual assault on minor

The Cuncolim police on Monday arrested a 29-year old resident of Bomblamol-Fatorpa for allegedly sexually assaulting a 15 year old minor girl from the village since July 2010.
Cuncolim police said the accused Vinesh Faldessai has been arrested for rape and under the Goa Children’s Act.
The police said the accused had been allegedly sexually abusing the minor girl since July, 2010 till January 26 this year.
Acting on a complaint, the police arrested the accused and is presently cooling his heels in the lock-up. Both the victim and the accused were subjected to medical examination.
The police are investigating.
