Govt press staff not paid OT since 2013

PANJIM: Government Printing Press employees have not been paid their over time (OT) allowance since 2013 despite several reminders and even a representation to the minister.

Staff of printing, binding, computer and technical sections, who have worked over time, halted operations at the Press on Tuesday in protest, which led to director Sanjiv Gadkar suspending the heads of the four sections.
Most of the staff has been working after 5.30pm, on Saturdays, Sundays and other holidays, and during the sessions of the Legislative Assembly, elections but the returns of the duties have not been paid.
