PANJIM: Chrys D’Souza has an impressive seven-point lead coming into the weekend in the Indian Junior National Championship. He is placed second overall, at the Madras Motorsports Racetrack, held recently.
Chrys placed second in qualifiers but turned up the heat considerably when he beat out Prabhu AS, winning top spot with a 34 second lead. “We’re in it to win it and I’m determined for this year to be a personal best for me,” he said.
“My team and I have worked so hard to build amazing car and push ourselves to the limit this season.”
In what’s beginning to look like a pattern for this utterly focused contender, Chrys spent the better part of the race holding his lead and competing with cars from the higher and faster super stock category.
At the end of this hotly contested weekend, the 28-year old driver leads the Indian Junior National Championship with seven championship points and a – focus on the next two rounds.
