NEW DELHI: Supreme Court on Wednesday rung down the curtain on a property dispute among members of a Navelkar family in Goa, raging over deeds signed in 1915, 1919 and 1925.
The dispute arose between Gones and his elder brother Suria, both of whom are dead but their family members, who forced them to go to the court, continued the fight due to interest in the property located at Bainguinim near Old Goa.
The Bench of Justices Navin Sinha and K M Joseph, who tried to settle the dispute last November through mediation, finally dismissed the appeals on Wednesday.
