rnFr Agnel Youth Club, Paroda stunned St Anthony’s Sporting Club, Colva, 2-1 to move into the semi-finals of Sebastiao Rosario Dias memorial inter-village football tournament organised by Davorlim Sports Club at Zorivado ground, Davorlim on Tuesday. Fr Agnel were trailing 0-1 at half time.
rnSt Anthony’s held the upper hand in the opening session and called the shots against the rival citadel. Their persistent forays were rewarded when John Fernandes bulged the net midway.
rnCrossing over, Fr Agnel came back strongly and tormented the rival citadel with orchestrated raids. Patrick Lima equalised with a snap shot in the 43rd minute.
rnWith time running out, Fr Agnel struck the match-winner when striker Antonio Fernandes punished the rival keeper with an adroit placement.
