MAPUSA/ PANJIM: Eltroy D’Silva scored a fine hat-trick for St Anthony’s Club, Colva as they recorded a 3-1 win over United Boys of Dando Club at Dando ground, Benaulim.
St Anthony’s scored two goals in the first half through Eltroy and then they soon scored their third in the 70th minute through Eltroy. Mabric Fernandes pulled a goal back for United Boys.
At Chapora ground, Peddem Bomm Sports Club and Holiday Sports Club played out a 1-1 draw. Shayne De Souza put Peddem Bomm SC ahead in the second minute but Bhavesh Gawas made it all square in the 12th minute for Holiday SC.
At Assonora ground, Sirsaim Sports Club defeated St Domnic SC 3-0. David Pereira, Shubham Gawas and Flangel Fernandes scored for the winners.
At Poriat ground, Sangolda Lightening Club and Verem United tie ended in a 1-1 draw.
Sangolda led 1-0 in the first half thanks to Suhas Kambli’s strike. In the second half, Prakash Rathod netted the equalizing goal for Verem United.
At Siolim ground, ABC Arambol scored a solitary goal win over Siolim Sodiem Sports Club. Cyprian Rodrigues scored the all-important goal for the winning team.
Russel Fernandes and Gitesh of ABC Arambol and Siolim respectively were sent off after receiving their second bookings.
At Cavelossim ground, Prateek Jitonkar scored a 90th minute match winner for SCS Poitomado as they won a five-goal thriller against Ambelim SC.
Ambelim SC took the lead in the 39th minute through Nial Cardozo. In the second half Poitomado scored two quick goals through Cramson Oliveira and Prendy Mascarenhas. In the 89th minute, Ambelim SC equalized through Jolan Simoes. But Poitomado netted the match winner in the 90th minute through Prateek.
At Artificial Turf ground, Shiroda Youth Club and Our Lady of Gloria Sports Club played out a 1-1 draw.
Godwin Vaz scored for Shiroda while Valencio Fernandes netted for Our Lady of Gloria Sports Club.
In the GFA U-16 League, Salcete Football Club scored a 2-1 win over Don Bosco Oratory at Dramapur ground.
All the goals were scored in the second session. Salcete FC scored through Omkar Gaunkar and Admau Gomes. Don Bosco pulled a goal back through Wedly Barretto.
