PANJIM: Former Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte has expressed his displeasure over the reinstatement of ex-joint mamlatdar – II (Bardez), within a year of his suspension in connection with dubious mutation processes at Serula Communidade.
Khaunte, also Porvorim MLA, took to Twitter to put forth his views stating, “Its surprising to note that the Chief Minister who is speaking of a corrupt free government reinstates the same officer who was suspended for the Serula scam during my tenure as revenue minister – I have just highlighted another scam and instead of taking action on other officers and elected panchayat representatives who are involved in the scam, the government looks the other way. Our Goa, (which) we tried to save, is being sold!”
The government had suspended Salgaonkar for alleged involvement in the scam in November 2018.
