At this meeting, various shortages were highlighted such as lack of staff and other facilities to improve the medical services.

It maybe recalled that Dr Borkar had recently spoken about how the hospital faces a shortage of housekeeping staff, drivers and ambulances.
At that time, during his interaction with the media, he had stated that the proposal for regarding the facility management system had been sent to higher authorities for sanction and that they would also need technical personnel to run the sophisticated system.
Locals have long been complaining about how, since its inauguration in January 2019, the state of the art hospital has been marred with various problems owing to the shortage of staff and facilities.  Locals point to the machinery lying idle and also question how even after the upgradation of the hospital, the institution is yet to be allotted a medical superintendent and that the health officer in charge is managing the work without the necessary infrastructure to cater to the patients.
