Sao Miguel de Taleigao Sports Club defeated Union of Chinchinim Villagers 3-1 via the tie-breaker to storm into the finals of All-Goa 2nd Cuncolim Union Trophy inter-village football tournament organized by Cuncolim Union at Cuncolim on Saturday. There was no score at full time.
Sao Miguel de Taleigao, once they found the rhythm, threatened the rival citadel, but Samson Pereira,Victor Lobo and Caetano Pinho missed the mark narrowly.
In the tie-breaker, Cedric Peixoto, Victor Lobo and Ramesh Palyekar were on target for Taleigao while only Noel Leitao converted for Union of Chinchinim Villagers. Sao Miguel de Taleigao will face the winners of Don Bosco Oratory and Ambelim Sports Club in the final on May 30.
