SANGUEM: The State administration through the office of Deputy Collector and Mamlatdar distributed food grains to around 450 stranded and migrant labourers in Sanguem who are left without any food grains since the time of lockdown.
Over the past few days, the State administration has been distributing cooked foods twice a day to the migrant and other stranded labourers through Sanguem Municipal Council and MLA Prasad Gaonkar.

On Friday, the labourers were provided rice and pulses by Deputy Collector Ajay Gaude, Mamlatdar Manoj Korgaonkar and others.
On the occasion, Gaude thanked the people of Sanguem, councillors and MLA Prasad Gaonkar for assisting the administration in the distribution of cooked rice to the migrant labourers at Sanguem.
Gaude informed that the rice and the pulses to the labourers were provided under the government run scheme. He appealed to those in need of the same to approach his office.
Gaude also appealed the citizens from Sanguem, who wish to help the needy, to contact him. He informed that the Damodar Devasthan at Zambaulim has donated Rs 1 lakh for the coronavirus relief.
