MARGAO: The Shadow Council for Margao (SCM) has decided to embark on a contactless Margao Municipal Council (MMC) poll campaign due to the prevailing COVID pandemic.

He said visiting people at their residences with a large number of people puts everyone at risk and added that it was nothing but gross display and abuse of “ill gotten money power”.
Adv Seoula Vas said the election was a festival of democracy and hence all precautions adopted during a festival have to be followed here too.
While all six candidates were present for the media briefing, Savio did not rule out the possibility of other candidates joining their group as the filing of nominations commenced.
