Bicholim police on Monday arrested a person from Haturlim-Mayem in connection with the assault to a family, including a nine-year-old boy.
It may be recalled that on Sunday, Tulsidas Chodankar along with another person had allegedly assaulted Hemant R Naik, his wife Lalit and their son Santosh. The duo had attacked the family with the chopper and tube lights. Following a police complaint, police had registered a case under Children Act.
On Monday, Tulshidas Chodankar was arrested and was sent to seven days police custody, while the second accused was absconding.
