Vasco MLA demands suspension of Railway GM

VASCO: Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida has demanded suspension of the general manager (GM) of South Western Railway who called the Cortalim legislator Alina Saldhana “you Portuguese”. His “mere apology is not enough,” he said.
Speaking to the media on the sideline of an inaugural function, Almeida stated that the Railway ministry should have suspended and the general manager for his rude and unprofessional behaviour and for calling Saldhana “you Portuguese”, recently.
Almeida further opined that mere verbal apology from the general manager is not enough and such people should not be tolerated. “Good officers who understand and respect people and their representatives needed in public offices,” he added.
