The mining resources of Goa do not belong to the mining industrialist more the less of the same person/industrialist who were named by Shah Commission in the mining scam resulting into a loss of Rs 35,000 crore to the state of Goa.
It is time to wake-up every Goan from every village/Town with regards to looting of their wealth by handful of mining industrialists in convince with politicians. The concept of raising ‘Goenchi Maati Fund’ is perfect idea floated by the Goa Foundation. But the Government of the day will ever digest this concept of sharing mining profit within all the families of Goa and Goans. Definitely no.
The Congress has looted Goa on all fronts and incepts the ideology of corruption, nepotism and loot mare within the society of Goa and with the same ideology the BJP is running the present Government. What happened to the “Zero Tolerance of Corruption” of the present Government when they hurriedly renewed the mining leases of the same persons who looted and created wonton destruction of environment? Is this not clear criminal act by the present Government and should not they be persecuted for siding with criminals who looted tiny Goa?
For long the political parties and politicians of Goa are fooling Goans by throwing crumbs at the time of election and once elected as usual they side with criminals and capitalists to grow up their wealth. Neither have they had interest of Goa or of the Goans as the money talks.
It would be in the interests of Goa and Goans that the present Government should go immediately, as it is run by nuts with criminal mindset. The classic example of their idiotic and brainless concept is the construction of third bridge over river Mandovi. It is most ridiculous and criminal act on part of present Government which should have not been allowed to govern even for one day after tendering the work for third Mandovi Bridge. There should have been revolution on the line of the one witnessed in many countries to overthrow the Government of rogues.
Every single Goan should go through the concept of ‘Goaenchi Maati Fund’ before the wealth is siphoned off by professional criminals both within mining industrialists and political class. It is now or never, Goans fate should remain in their own hands and not in the handful of criminals, thugs, fugitives looting Goan resources in connivince with equally criminal class of Governments ruling Goa for last many years.
Before I end a big “Thank You” to O Herald and Goa Foundation team consists of Claude Alvares and Rahul Basu for bringing forth the concept of permanent “Goenchi Maati Fund’ where each family within Goa should get Rs 50,000 or more per annum from the mining resources and not only a handful of criminal class mining industrialists and political parties who have no interest for welfare of Goa and Goans.
