PANJIM: Indian Terrain Fashions Ltd opened their second store in Goa and their first in Panjim. The store was inaugurated by Amitabh Suri, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Indian Terrain Fashions Ltd.
Speaking to the Herald he said the Goan market was a very dynamic market and the company which had touched Rs. 200 crores this February was focused on growth and this expansion in Goa was part of that move. The company he said was focused on touching Rs. 250 crores in this financial year. He believes that the Goa market for the brand’s apparel presents a significant growth opportunity. Well-established across metros, the brand is looking to strengthen its retail presence throughout the country and the Panjim store provides an excellent opportunity to do so.
The franchisee for the Panjim store is Technostyle. It is the partnership firm of Michael D’Costa and Ajit Singbal, both well known entrepreneurs in Goa. They started their partnership in 2005 with a Citizen showroom in Panjim and have added 2 stores, since then.
Ajit Singbal said ‘We are into watch business for 9 years, and it was high time we diversified. After lot of deliberations we decided to get into apparel sector. We want to be in the lifestyle & fashion segment and tie up with Indian Terrain was a natural line extension’.
Michael D’Costa added ‘Goans value quality products and are becoming more and more brand conscious. Therefore, we decided to offer them a brand like Indian Terrain which not only offers them good quality but also the value for money’ . Located in the Church Square, this 927 sq. ft store houses the expansive Autumn- Winter ‘14 collection. Signature products from this collection include Vintage Melange Shirts, Poplin Work Shirts, Garment- Dyed Polos, Wrinkle- free Chinos, and Vintage Khakis. The sought- after winter-wear range, composed of sweaters, jackets, and sportcoats, is a part of the collection as well.
Casual yet work appropriate clothing by Indian Terrain will continue to attract customers across Goa. Given the popularity of the state as a holiday destination and a haven for cultural events, men in the region will be able to sport the brand’s apparel to every occasion.
