Goa has always been known for its sea, sand and beach. However, with fewer job opportunities and virtually negligible manufacturing units in the state, the Goans took up the mantle to on their own and started translating ideas into business proposition. Less than 10 per cent of those passing out of Goa colleges get jobs in the state'. The state government and various institutions, started creating an environemnt for the growth of start ups and organised competitiond with attractive prize money and support systems like mentors and guides.
