Zerodha launches regional trading platform Kite, Zero brokerage and mutual fund business

PANJIM: Zerodha, India’s leading online discount brokerage firm, today announced the launch of its web based multilingual trading portal Kite in 10 different languages – Marathi, Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Malayalam and Odiya. 
It also announced zero brokerage on all equity investments and the start of its mutual fund business. For zero brokerage, there will be no upfront fees, no minimum volume, no special terms and conditions, no clauses, no strings attached. The company will charge the retail customer Rs 20 per transaction irrespective of value  
Goa is the youngest market for Zerodha and currently, it has a support office in Margao. Kite is a minimalistic web based trading platform that adapts to mobiles and tablet.  
Kite is integrated with an advanced behavioral analytics and visualization platform, called Quant, which helps traders understand their trading behavior to make informed investment decisions. Kite search across 70,000+ stocks and instruments across multiple exchanges instantly.
Adding more on the development, Shubhayu Bhol, associate vice president – sales, Zerodha, said, “With a trading platform like Kite, language is no longer a barrier for the trading/investing community. Kite also provide live streaming prices for all the instruments and buy sell with just two clicks, or completely using keyboard shortcuts. It has advanced technical analysis charting (99 indicators) and 5 years of free historical data for all stocks.
