PANJIM: The Netherlands-based Odournet Group, the largest odour specialist company, has launched India’s first ever odour laboratory in Goa.
The state-of-the-art facility operated by Odournet Holding India Pvt Ltd, is a giant step as far as odour testing and management is concerned and is expected to have a qualitative impact on a wide range of sectors like FMCG, pharmaceutical, chemical, automotive, food, personal care, fragrances, appliances and other products as well as effectively aid environment management.
Integral to Odournet’s expansion plan, is its ambition to create India’s first city pollution network, in which, it’s web-based technology will be used to map the pollution levels and evaluate citizen inputs in India’s top cities.
While accurate testing for odour was virtually non-existent in India all these years, Odournet now brings with it, a rich global experience of over 30 years in the highly specialized odour sensory evaluation industry, accrued from its six already existing laboratories in Europe and Latin America. The new lab in India is the seventh such lab across the Group.
