‘FORCA GOA CHOL SANGATHAN’

This time too, Shine On Duo have managed to impress it’s audience with its second music video ‘Forca Goa Chol Sangathan’, which has managed to capture the hearts of Goan football fans.

It’s that time
of the year again, when you
see
locals wearing FC Goa jerseys and every second conversation is about the fate
of the FC Goa team.

The level of excitement, passion and support for the team is
at an extreme high and a goal conceded, can leave fans upset while a goal
scored can send fans into a frenzied euphoria. Some even say that if FC Goa
wins a match, it is calls for celebrations among fans and friends at home and
one can hear firecrackers and joyrides with fans all over sharing their united
enthusiasm and backing for the club. A recent music video ‘Forca Goa Chol Sangathan’ that has gone viral, has captured this
spirit and feeling.

The famous group, Shine On Duo in
association with Red Bow Studios and Dance Illusions, released this video, at
the hands of Vijai Sardesai at the Chowgule College auditorium.

Silvina and Sidney are diehard fans
of FC Goa and have been following the team from season one. “When the FC Goa
match is on our whole house turns into a stadium! More than just watching the
match we follow and more importantly feel the match,” said Silvina Soares.

“Goans love football and football
unites Goans,” says the multi-talented singer and songwriter Sidney Soares. “We
received several offers to do the song in Hindi or Konkani. But we stuck to our
roots. We want to motivate our youth towards our heritage and culture,” added
Sidney.

The video is directed by Lester
Fernandes, a known name in the Goan Film Industry.

“If anything is famous in Goa after
fish curry rice, it only has to be football, hence when Shine On Duo approached
me, I was very excited,” said Lester.

Music is by both Sidney and Lloyd Paul.
Lloyd Paul, a Mumbai-based artist has done the rap parts in the song. Having a
music studio in Mumbai, Lloyd Paul sincerely feels that more artistes should
follow the path of Shine On Duo.

Dance Illusion members feel the
song has a Samba beat and a lot of energy and that they were excited to be a
part of this music video.

Sidney said, “The Forca Goa song Chol
Sangathan
was conceived a year back. I had composed this song and was
looking for the right moment to release it for the fans. Having a great team in
Lester Fernandes and Lloyd Paul there was no looking back”.

Shine On Duo had also recently
launched another video “I’m in love”, which was well received,.

With its success, it helped them
come out with the football anthem video, which took around a month to complete.
They also credited the cast in the video for making it easier. “The dancers and
the tiatrists in the video were fantastic and they very happy to be a part of
it,” Silvina pointed out.

“Dance
Illusions, the dance crew added glamour to the video,” she pointed out, while
praising the emotions and human touch brought out by tiatrists Luis Bachan and
Rons. Thanking all those who helped them, Shine On Duo said, “We believe in an
inclusive approach and it fits with the message and meaning of the title of the
song.” Buoyed by their response not only from Goa but among the Goan Diaspora
abroad as well, Shine on Duo have many more videos planned but for now, it’s
all about being part of the fans supporting FC Goa.
