The 2018-19
season of Teamwork Arts’ Jazz
India Circuit features path-breaking contemporary jazz musicians from India and
around the world, who continue to push the boundaries of the genre today. As
part of the 2018-19 season of Jazz India Circuit, the JIC International
Festival Goa, being held at the International Centre Goa (ICG), Dona Paula, on
December 1, 2018, is an experimental, up-tempo, funky celebration of jazz
juxtaposed with diverse genres like punk, funk hip-hop, R&B and other forms
of music.
Teamwork Arts in partnership with the US Mission in India is
bringing American jazz band House of Waters, set to headline the Jazz India
Circuit Tour across four cities including Bangalore, Hyderabad, New Delhi and
Goa, where at the JIC International Festival Goa they will perform as part of a
collaboration with Karsh Kale and Warren Mendonsa. Joining House of Waters in
Goa are Indian and international jazz powerhouses including Goan drumming
legend Lester Godinho, French Afrofunk ensemble Supergombo and WorldService
Project, leading specialists of British ‘punk-jazz’ and arguably one of the
finest and most exported live acts in Europe.

Teamwork Arts in partnership with the US Mission in India is
also showcasing House of Waters at a four city collaboration concert series as
part of the Jazz India Circuit (JIC) to be held between November 27 and
December 8 in Bangalore, Goa, Hyderabad and New Delhi.
The
once-in-a-lifetime collaborations will feature House of Watersperforming with
artistes like B C Manjunath at BFlat Bar in Bangalore; 20-year-old ‘mridangam’
artiste Praveen Sparsh at Taj Krishna in Hyderabad; Warren Mendoza and Karsh
Kale at the JIC International Festival Goa; and Indian classical flautist Ajay
Shankar Prasanna at the Delhi Arts International Festival, New Delhi.
Talking to the media
during a press conference, Avik Roy, Manager Productions, Teamwork Arts, said,
“Goa is firmly placed in the Jazz India Circuit and the last two editions are a
testimony to the musical journey we are on. This year again we have added punch
to the programming by bringing the best of artistes from India and abroad. It
is a platform for both young talents from India and world-renowned legends
presenting scintillating performances.”

festival in Goa will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the International
Centre Goa, Dona Paula.
