Learning football at the Junior Herald Indoor Football Camp

 Junior Herald
organised its second season of
Indoor Football Camp 2019 in association with Forca Goa
Foundation for children from age group 7-12 years in North and South Goa on
three different days. The first day was held at First Strike Arena Guirim,
Mapusa, with 60 kids.

The Verna ground is
supported by Bulls Arena as a venue partner, where there were 30 kids on the
second day and 40 kids participated on the third day of the camp at Bulls Arena
Nagao Verna Turf. All the children were trained by the Forca Goa Foundation
coaches Josline Dsouza, Nayan Virnodkar, Xavier Fernandes, Frank Fernandes,
Premson Fernandes, Godwin Rodrigues and Yadnya Parwar. The sessions that were
conducted included technical training, basics of football, friendly matches,
fun games, handball, bib grab, small sided games in teams, passing and shooting
with progressions, dribbling, fitness and concentration at the artificial
enclosed turf. Children who participated in the camp got a chance to meet and
greet their favourite football star and FC Goa players Mandar Rao Dessai,
Saviour Gama, Princeton Rebello and Lenny Rodrigues. They were presented a
memento by Junior Herald as a token of appreciation.
