On October 7, the Goa part of the FIFA U-17 World Cup kicked off as Germany and Costa Rica locked horns. Many matches followed this encounter with plenty of great football on display and upsets galore. The last game that will be played here is a quarter-final encounter, on October 21. However, it hasn’t all been rosy in terms of how the tournament has played out thus far. With there being a lukewarm turnout in the stands, the question that arises is why some sections are unavailable for purchase, despite being vacant. With the social media buzz over the high-handedness of the police force and several other inadequacies, there has been much to discuss about the tournament as things stand.
