Is it time for India to act

In the month of January this year there was attack on Pattankot Air Force Station which killed 3 Indian soldiers and after 17 hours of exchange of fire all the 4 terrorists were killed.

In a pre-dawn attack on September 18, 2016 on the Army camp at Uri  17 soldiers were killed in their sleep using hand grenades, rocket launchers AK-47 with Pakistani markings which are now with military and intelligence agencies which point to Pakistan’s direct involvement in this attack. Uri is a Garrison town close the LoC in the district of Baramulla. 30 soldiers have also been injured some of them grieviously and the figure of the dead may go.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the attack in a strongly worded statement he said, “Those behind this despicable attack will not go unpunished”. Home Minister Rajnath Singh said “Pakistan must be isolated”. The United States ambassador condemned the attack squarely being on India’s side. The UK Government also condemned the attack.
Pakistan has always been sponsoring terrorism with terror outfits which have training camps like Lasker-e-Toiba, Jaish Mohammed, Al-Qaeda and Taliban. Pakistan was once ruled by Taliban a terror outfit and till today the Pakistani government is funding Taliban youths in training of warfare. Obviously with a state like this our piece of mind has been disturbed. The fact is the Pakistani Government cannot contain these outfits resulting in the audacious attacks like the Mumbai attack of 26.11.2008 where hundreds of innocent people lost their lives and Parliament attack in 2001. As the world leaders are now going to congregate at the UN General Assembly session on India’s agenda it will be Terrorism and Pakistan as the perpetrator of that terrorism.
In 1976 Iraq purchased a nuclear reactor “Osiris” from France and both Iraq and France maintained it is designed for peaceful scientific research. The Israelis viewed the reactor with suspicion and said it is intended to make nuclear weapons. In an Operation code named Babylon on June 7, 1981 Israeli fighter jets F-16 with an escort of F-15As bombed and heavily damaged the reactor. Israel claimed it acted in self-defence as the reactor had less than a month to get operational. In the incident 10 Iraqis and 1 French national were killed. The incident was condemned worldwide because of loss of human lives and Israel was rebuked. In 1972 the Israelis destroyed terror training camps in Algeria and Tunisia after 11 Israeli athletes were killed in Munich Olympics by Arab fundamentalists.
The Pakistani government cannot contain these terror outfits is not a safe excuse to allow them to function and spill over their terror activities on the Indian soil. It is the duty of the government of India to uphold the Constitution in letter and spirit and protect each and every individual including our armed forces. At the ongoing UN General Assembly session India has a good case to project before the world body and get Pakistan listed as a terrorist state. It would not be wrong for India to eradicate the terror training camps on the soil of Pakistan since Pakistan has failed to act inspite of various terror attacks from their soil.
