It was NDA government that supported Jat reservation. But rightly Supreme Court found that it is not in public interest. I wonder if ever a day will come when politicians shall stop playing against people’s welfare through vote bank politics of reservations. All kinds of reservations in fact are against welfare of nation. Reservation flies in the face of merit. It is only a politically convenient way of taking care of the backward classes. In fact, reservation leads to more chaos in the country than its so called benefits. It is in the country’s interest to abolish reservations of all kinds. For weaker sections, more/better opportunities must be provided for them to come up and better infrastructure for the same is needed. By reservation, such classes of people are reminded that they are weak and they cannot come up in life without reservation, they are being made to feel handicapped too.
