The CM of Goa has made two controversial statements recently. The first being that 90% of all constructions along the Pernem coast are illegal and secondly he has received money from Leading Hotels for the Tiracol Golf Course project.
The CM of Goa is also an MLA from Pernem and if he had / has knowledge of illegal constructions why did / does he not act? Is it not his duty as an elected representative of the people to ensure that the law of the land is upheld? By saying that 90% of hotels in Pernem are illegal does he want to justify granting of NOC’s to Leading Hotels because he received money from them?
