It saddens me to note that the self-proclaimed Islamic State has gone further ahead with its agenda of hate and destruction. After numerous crimes against humanity, the terrorist organization has now destroyed the ancient Assyrian city of Nimrud. The destruction of ancient culture and heritage has been always there on the agenda of fanatics – be it Nimrud by ISIS; Buddhas of Bamian by Taliban or the vandalism of Timbuktu.
