The RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat believes that the best way of keeping the Hindutva cause alive and at the same time remaining one step ahead of the popular ‘development programme’ of the BJP govt, is by stirring the communal pot. Bhagwat’s latest comment on Mother Theresa is symptomatic of the internal one-upmanship struggle within the saffron brigade. It’s time Modi, who is now an internationally respected statesman, stamps his authority by showing Mr Bhagwat who’s the boss.
Mother Teresa is Nobel prize winner and an international icon. She worked to alleviate the sufferings of the poorest of the poor. She worked in the gutters. If the suffering , destitude and dying happen to see ‘the light’ at the end of the tunnel of their miserable lives, how can anyone point fingers at Mother Teresa?
