Goa reportedly finds a place in a travel magazine’s list of the world’s top nightlife cities. The state stands at a creditable sixth position in the list of top ten nightlife cities in the world which include Ireland’s Dublin and Spain’s Ibiza. This is an achievement to be proud of and will be a major boost for tourism in the state..
But then there is another kind of “night life” which is prevalent in Goa and which needs to be done away with by the authorities concerned. This “night-life” involves thefts, house-breaks, etc as the thieves strike under the cover of darkness. Of late the thieves have been targeting religious places in a big way and robbing valuables and money from the collection boxes. The authorities concerned need to curb this kind of “night life” by increasing night patrolling and booking the culprits who have engaged in such anti-social activities in the past. This is a kind of “nightlife” we can do without.
