Sometime back it was made mandatory that in each and every private bus the first few seats were allotted to Senior Citizen, Handicapped and Ladies, and the bus owner’s contact number and the Police cell number was made compulsory to be put on the bus for the people to voice out if any complaint occurs.
All this went on for about 2 to 3 months. After that it is the same old story what people were facing earlier. All we see is that all these private buses are full with migrants (outsiders) who are here to work and make money and it is they who occupy all the seats in the buses and we Goans when we board the buses, don’t get a single seat. On the contrary, they will either be sleeping or playing with their cellphones but on no ground they will offer a seat to a female or an elderly lady. So this is all the corruption that we are presently facing in the buses.
The conductor keeps himself busy collecting money. Who can we complain to? This is our question. Is there anyone who can take an inspection in these private buses and see for themselves as to what is happening. Will the concerned authorities take interest and look into this matter at the earliest and stop all this nonsense.
