I am addressing the statement in Herald Oct 8, 14 by Luizinho and I quote “We have to bring in new and young blood in the party”. He has to go beyond this manifesto and “train this young and fresh blood” to replace every single one of the prior Congress Ministers and MLAs at the next elections in 2016.
Congress will not win in 2016 but will form the Opposition. For the next 5 years these young-blooded and rookie politicians should be appointed as shadow-ministers and learn the trade challenging BJP. When they have this experience, each of them and Congress will return to governing Goa politics in 2020. National Congress should work on the same timeline and win in 2020. With a revamped Congress in Parliament and clean, young congressmen in Goa State they will mimic the synergy we are seeing now with BJP and Goa will move forward.
