Turf war turns ugly

Delhi lieutenant-governor Najeeb Jung and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal seem to have earned the dubious distinction  as ‘street fighters’. With no side giving any quarter over the ongoing war triggered by the appointment of Shakuntala D Gamlin as acting chief secretary of Delhi the two seem to have taken their fight to the next level.
With the Central government refusing to barge in and put an end to the stalemate a solution to the impasse looks very unlikely anytime soon. It is time that both sides cast their differences aside and sit together to mend fences in the best interest of Delhi, whose administration has certainly taken a beating in recent times.
