Goa, a tiny drop on a gigantic map of India, was known for uniqueness throughout the World. The World over used to laud Goans for its honesty but unfortunately Post-Liberation Goa is on verge of losing everything its identity and even honesty.
With the exception of handful of Goa’s politicians, majority of them pave its way to destruction and to make matter worst, greed and susegad life increase the urge within Goans to sell their land to non-Goans. Even Goan families with enough wealth for next few generations’ end up selling their forefathers land to non-Goans. Shockingly I have instances how a Goan middle class family in Goa sold their huge ancestors land to a builder for piece of few flats are now passing their few days on earth by selling everything and presently residing on premise rented by non-Goans. Some are in more pathetic situations after selling their land to non-Goans as they ended up in orphanages with nothing in their hands. Goans are making their own coffin.
It is not only politicians who are preparing coffin of Goa but many Goans who sold their land to non-Goans are more responsible for it. The politicians could have done many things to safeguard Goa going into hands of outsiders but most Goans’ attitude of “Mhaka kiteak poddlam” gives free hands to politicians to go against wishes of its people.
The coastal belt of Goa is completely captured by drug mafias, to such an extent that even some police officers are scared to nab them because of politicians’ backfire. The DGP of Goa says that crime rates are decreased when it is otherwise. The whole Administrative System of Goa moves only with Gandhi notes and if caught the culprits are suspended for few months to come back to indulge in same criminality. Politicians in Goa rightly think Goans are fools. The very person whom many have placed hope of safeguarding Goa has now betrayed Goans with PDA,TDR and RP-2021 and as if that is not enough like don of all time of Goa has backstabbed Goans by playing with the health of every single person of Goa by manipulating the FDA report of chemical laced fish.
At times the Supreme Court of India comes to rescue of Goa from the hands of various mafias but now as expected all the 40 Ali Babas are coming together to outwit the SC illegal mining judgment with alleged ordinance to legalise illegal loot of mining and to destroy Goa to its end.
The mining ordinance will finish Goa with rampant mining of its land. Water and fresh air will be big problem if the politicians succeed with the mining Ordinance. Goans will not able to effort to treat themselves of likely diseases due to mining filth at Mumbai Hospital forgetting about going to USA.
It is now or never, Goans have to wake up before the gang of 40 thieves start hammering the last nail (in form of mining ordinance) on the coffin they already prepared in form of RP-2021. Either Goans come together forcefully to stop the illegal mining Ordinance or get ready for the worst.
