The “black money” eradication point cannot be taken into consideration, because, people with black money have already converted their black into white with their professional and influential inputs.
Raids by I-T and emotional talk by the PM is nothing but any eye washer for common man to believe in him. People of Goa, I speak for, I do not know about the rest of India, can see how BJP staunch supporters are not on I-T radar or even if by mistake if they are raided they are being protected and the issue is hushed up. Lets take for example the ex-CM of Karnataka who was a BJP MLA, held a lavish wedding of his daughter. For him there was no problem for either cash spending limit or money exchange. After the wedding, the I-T conducts a raid on the people he made payment to. Does this make sense? Why did the I-T not raid the ex-MLA in the beginning? Why is the I-T targetting common man who are paid by the big mafia?
A car belonging to a BJP minister from Maharashtra was caught with lakhs of rupees, but no media covered it. Nor was it on national news with exception to one unbiased news channel which reported. In the near future a noted businessman’s daughter, niece of a person very close to the PM is gearing to get married. A five-star hotel is being re-done for the grand reception, will the I-T conduct a raid to know the source of money or will they conduct a raid to the suppliers after the wedding?
The target of the present government is the opposition, basically to tarnish their image and ruin their prospects in the forthcoming election. All people associated to the opposition are being raided. If the government wants to eradicate black money, they should target big business houses. They take crores of rupees for business purposes, invest the same money overseas in their wealth and than claim losses and get their loans waived off. Common man who don’t know how to do this are harrassed even to withdraw a petty sum.
How can a government dictate terms on people on how they should spend their money? It is people’s hard earned money and let them spend the way they want. Are we living in a democratic country or are we heading to dictatorship like erstwhile Iraq, Libia? I feel the move is very good to boost economy and having peace in Kashmir. The fake currency racket had gone beyond imagination. The only drawback is that the government should have allowed the currency exchange, without upper or lower limit through the banks only without any short term deadline. This would have averted long queues, panic, stress on bank employees and economy and deaths of common man. The government too would be able to generate more genuine currency in the coffers rather than the same being burnt or destroyed by other means.
