That ISIS is an organized terror bastion needs no affirmation. In the past the world has witnessed with horror the annihilation of so many innocent people and the destruction let loose in parts of Syria, Iraq and other countries that have defied all human rationale.
The worst massacre of its kind was let loose on Friday, 13/11 when some eight hardened extremists owing allegiance to ISIS, armed with rifles, explosives and human bombs attacked a football stadium, concert hall, restaurant and bars in Paris and unleashed bloodbath that shook not only France but the world community at large. While ISIS has owned responsibility without guilt or fear as usual it is assumed that the bloody attack has been a backlash to the air strikes launched by France against the ISIS militant outfit fighting in Syria.
The death toll in the savage act has been pegged at 129 with several hundreds injured, some seriously. The world has condemned the brutality in one voice with leaders particularly meeting in Turkey for the G20 summit voicing concern over the growing clout of ISIS that is destroying world peace, and calling for a united fight against terrorism.
It is a great tragedy that the European countries had opened their doors on humanitarian ground to the influx of refugees from Syria, little knowing that people with criminal mind would sneak through as it is seen from the Paris attack as one gunman had Syrian passport.
The leaders across the globe should know the clandestine motive of the ISIS wanting to establish the Islamic caliphate in the world and who are prepared to destroy anything that comes in their way. The group is radicalized to such an extent that even within their own religion they are averse to the Shia community and has launched attacks against them. We are well aware that countries like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Tunisia, Afghanistan and Bangladesh are predominantly Muslim countries but during this very year ISIS has launched attacks on them as it feels that anything that does not fine tune with their views is heretical.
As our Prime Minister has rightly said in Turkey the entire humanity should unite against terrorism. To begin with, the funds and arms flow to ISIS should be blocked. One thing is certain that if ISIS is not destroyed then it will wreak havoc in the world sooner than later.
