CLAIM THE BLESSINGS OF OBEDIENCE

A resume is often the first impression a potential employer has of you. A resume acts as a bridge between you and the prospective employer. An interview is an opportunity for a job seeker to prove his suitability for the position advertised. The institution of the Holy Eucharist at the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday by Lord Jesus Christ is an opportunity for all Catholics to prove their suitability to claim the blessings of obedience.
The Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation help the faithful to obtain absolution for the sins committed against God and neighbour and get reconciled with the community of the Church. The Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation, one of the seven sacraments of the Catholic Church, acts as a bridge between the faithful and Lord Jesus Christ. A good confession together with penance will ensure that we get shortlisted for the interview with Lord Jesus Christ.
In Mathew’s Gospel, Chapter 11 verse 28, Lord Jesus Christ says “Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy load, and I will give you rest”. The Holy Eucharist is the most powerful form of prayer where we have the opportunity to lift up all our pains as we have the great opportunity to meet Lord Jesus Christ. A successful Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation will ensure that we get shortlisted for the interview with Lord Jesus Christ. Before appearing for a job interview, we do a lot of research about the organisation as it helps us to answer all the questions asked by the interviewer and stand out from less prepared candidates.
It is important to do a good confession and be ready to have a heart to heart dialogue during the interview with Lord Jesus Christ during the Holy Eucharistic Celebration. The interviewer Lord Jesus Christ will make tough statements like “I was hungry but you would not feed me, thirsty but you would not give me a drink; I was a stranger but you would not welcome me in your homes, naked but you would not clothe me; I was sick and in prison but you would not take care or visit me”. It is important that we have the answers to all the questions during our interview with Lord Jesus Christ.
Deuteronomy Chapter 28 verse 6, 8 and 13 says “The Lord will bless everything you do. The Lord your God will bless your work and fill your barns with corn. The Lord your God will make you the leader among the nations and not a follower; you will prosper and never fail if you obey faithfully all his commands that I am giving you today.”
For a job interview we make a good preparation so that that we get hired for the job we have applied. Earlier while attending the Holy Mass on Sunday, I would remember the lines from Deuteronomy chapter 5 verse 12 “Observe the Sabbath and keep it holy, as I, the Lord your God, have commanded you”. Today when human beings are innately inhuman, the Holy Eucharist which is an Interview with Lord Jesus Christ is the only sanctuary to find solace. As we are in the Paschal Triduum lifting up all our pains to Lord Jesus Christ I pray, “Remember me Jesus Christ when you come as King”.
