Dastardly act of depraved mindset

In yet another day of insurmountable sorrow and disgust, terror struck once again in Pakistan, wherein 7 gunmen some as live-bombs darted at a military school at Peshawar and sprayed bullets at will, killing over 140 people, most of them children and injuring 120 others in one of the deadliest attacks on school children. The entire world including India has united as one body in condemning this act of cowardice and expressed solidarity with the Pakistan government in this moment of deep anguish.
As we feel deeply pained at the loss of so many precious lives, mostly innocent children, it unfurls the stark truth about Pakistan’s lackluster approach in combating terrorism, that was rampantly brewing on their fertile ground, posing threat to India and the entire world at large. It is rightly said, ‘as you sow, so you reap’. The military dictated Pakistan government was sparing in its effort when it came to admitting that the militants involved in the 26/11 Mumbai attack were hard-cored extremists from Pakistan.
Brutal acts of terrorist attacks even if they are perpetrated  by one’s own people need to be condemned in the strongest possible terms, for such dastardly deeds have no place in a civilized society. At a time when the world is shocked, it is not enough to brush aside the happenings as routine terrorist attacks. The Taliban while owning responsibility with disdain over the attacks has clarified that the brutality unleashed was in retaliation to the military action by Pakistan against the hardliners in the North Waziristan, where militancy and depravity is at its peak. The fact is the Taliban with its proselytized diktat is hell-bent on imposing its skewed views on the people around and any backlash is repulsed ruthlessly.
Its view against the girls going to school is well known the world over and a couple of years ago the hardened mind-set was brought to the fore in the mindless attack on Malala Yousafzai, simply because she was openly supporting the education of the girl child. The honouring of this girl with Nobel Peace Prize was a clear slap on the face of the resentful Taliban outfit. Possibly, the group has vented its ire with the horrible strike at Peshawar. Nonetheless, people ought to raise their voices against the wicked designs of all such disgruntled elements.
