The employment data provided on the floor of the House by CM Parrikar, overall looks impressive, eye-catching especially when the overall average works out to 1 in 22 Goans are government servants. With reference to the employment data including government and private sector which were provided by our beloved CM and subsequently published by Herald dated July 23, 2017. I have some queries/doubts in my mind like, when one says 1 in 22 Goans in government servants, who are they? Are they sons or daughters of soil who know very well Goem, Goenkar and Goenkarponn? Or are they migrants illegally occupying communidade land and staying in state some years back with the blessing of corrupt, power hungry ministers who managed to give them houses or even regularizing their illegal huts for the vote banks? Or are they belong to the neighboring states who prefer to stay in the rented house and manage to obtain ration cards, Aadhar cards, election cards, residents certificate, employment exchange cards and availing all the government schemes meant for the sons of soil, with the help of corrupt government officials?
Did the CM have any statistics as how many Christian/minorities got Government jobs as compared to the Hindus since the BJP is ruling the state from the year 2012? This is indeed a senseless, cheap question, but in reality it is true that the Christian were denied job opportunities. Can anyone give statics on government jobs in constituencies wise since the year 2012?
Can someone tell us as how many jobs were given to the ruling candidates constituencies as compared to that in opposition? Can someone tell us how many government jobs are acquired in the Curtorim constituency as compared to the constituencies represented by ruling MLA/Minister. Are there no educated candidates in Curtorim constituency? There are, but sadly no god fathers.
1 in 22 Goans are Government servants may be reality in ruling constituencies but surely not in opposition, and definitely not in Curtorim constituency. Forget 1 in 22 Goans but difficult to get 1 in 22 houses. Why mix education and politics? Every candidate should be given fair chance no matter Hindu, Christian, ruling or opposition constituencies, BJP or Congress supporter.
