Mr CM, where is the Chorao bridge?

When Congress was in power, Parrikar used to tell us that “Chorao is the biggest Island and is facing problems in crossing the ferry and that all these years Congress has fooled the people.

He further said that if we would elect Anant Shet, a BJP MLA, then within a year’s time he would build a bridge connecting Chorao to Salvador-de-Mundo.
Two and a half years have passed and our CM is fooling the people by saying that the paperwork is being done. So many dates had been promised to lay the foundation stone but till today nothing has happened. The people of Chorao are fed-up with our MLA and also with our Sarpanch Divya Usapkar for not showing any interest in the Chorao bridge.
On the contrary, our MLA is keen in increasing the number of ferries from 4 to 5, but is mum about the bridge. The ferry system is a total loss and waste of time. It would have been more beneficial if he would strive to get a bridge done for Chorao.
At the time of elections we had thought that our MLA would stand with us and propose the bridge as he too takes the route daily. Now, the MLA, comes directly, jumps the queue and crosses the ferry. Now, it appears he does not need the people just like the way he needed them at the time of elections.
Parrikar had promised that if we would elect Anant Shet as the BJP candidate things would work up faster for us. But still it is of no use. Every time we question our MLA he has only one response “the tender has been floated only paperwork is pending”.
It baffles our minds that Parrikar has failed to build the promised bridge, while on the other hand has shown a lot of promise in building bridges that he did not promise at the time of poll.
